3 minors detained for sodomising junior

We were bathing in the rain and after the rain stopped, they forcibly took me to an isolated spot behind the public health centre. They tore my clothes and one of them started sodomising me. The victim was produced in a city court for recording his statement under Section 164 of CrPC.The juveniles were nabbed from their homes on Friday. “We produced the three before the Juvenile Justice Board on Saturday, which sent them to a correction home in Faridabad,” said sub-inspector Meena, the investigating officer.

GURUGRAM: Three Class IX students, all between 13 and 14 years old, were detained on Saturday for allegedly sexually assaulting a 12-year-old boy while they were bathing in the rain near IMT Manesar on Thursday.The minors were produced before the Juvenile Justice Board and sent to a shelter home in Faridabad. An FIR has been registered against them under various sections of POCSO Act.According to police, the four boys were friends. Three of them, including the 12-year-old, study in a government school near IMT Manesar, while the other studies in a private school in the area.Police said the boys had gone to the ground of the community hall to enjoy the rain around 7pm on Thursday. After bathing, three of them took the boy to an isolated spot.One of the accused allegedly tore off the 12-year-old’s clothes and pinned him to the ground with the help of others to sodomise him. The boy screamed and nearby villagers rushed to the spot.The three boys fled, and the 12-year-old’s family and police were informed.“I study in Class 8, and two of the boys study in Class 9 in the same school. The third boy studies in a private school. We were bathing in the rain and after the rain stopped, they forcibly took me to an isolated spot behind the public health centre. They tore my clothes and one of them started sodomising me. Some villagers spotted us, but the other boys had fled by then,” the 12-year-old told police in his statement.After his father filed the official complaint on Friday, an FIR was registered against the three minors under Section 8 (punishment for sexual assault) of the POCSO Act at women’s police station, IMT Manesar. A medical examination of the boy confirmed sexual assault . The victim was produced in a city court for recording his statement under Section 164 of CrPC.The juveniles were nabbed from their homes on Friday. “We produced the three before the Juvenile Justice Board on Saturday, which sent them to a correction home in Faridabad,” said sub-inspector Meena, the investigating officer.
