GURUGRAM: Sportspersons of Haryana who have won medals at national and international competitions as well as Student Police Cadets (SPC) will now have a have better chance of joining police forces in the state. Chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Saturday announced that Haryana Police will recruit 6,000 people every year and sportspersons who have won medals as well as those associated with the SPC programme will be given preference in the hiring drive.Khattar, who was in the city for the national launch of the SPC programme, described it as a ‘milestone’ in building a progressive society. “Priority will be given to students associated with SPC in Haryana Police recruitment drives.
