Speed up construction work at War Heroes Memorial Stadium: Vij

"The stadium is coming up at the cost of Rs 50 crores, which will facilitate the football players with world-class facilities. The stadium is also designed with modern water drainage system, the rain-water harvesting system will also be set up here. "A hostel facility at the cost of Rs 12 crore is also being set up in front of the stadium. The stadium will have a synthetic track for athletes to practice for international-level competitions that will be held here.

AMBALA: Haryana state minister of sports and health Anil Vij on Saturday directed the officials of Public Welfare Department (PWD) here to speed up the construction work of War Heroes Memorial Stadium coming up in Ambala During the discussion, the minister issued the guidelines and told them to complete the project before the allotted time period."The stadium will facilitate football players and other athletes with its world-class infrastructure . Say-night international-level matches will also be held here," he said and added that the stadium would play a key role in promoting football in the state."The stadium is coming up at the cost of Rs 50 crores, which will facilitate the football players with world-class facilities. The stadium will have a synthetic track for athletes to practice for international-level competitions that will be held here. The floodlights worth Rs 10 crore will be set up to hold day and night competitions, and for the audience a three-storey gallery is also being constructed," said Anil Dutta, media adviser of the sports minister.Not only this, the stadium will be equipped with the audio conferencing system, CCTV cameras, sub-station for supplying continuous power, fire alarm system, and a 60-kilowatt solar power system. The stadium is also designed with modern water drainage system, the rain-water harvesting system will also be set up here."A hostel facility at the cost of Rs 12 crore is also being set up in front of the stadium. The hostel will provide accommodation, food, washrooms and other necessary facilities," the minister said.
