Shopkeeper loses bag to snatchers

AMBALA: A shopkeeper owning a grocery store on Ambala Chowk was looted of Rs 2.5 lakh, when three motorcycle-borne snatchers came and snatched a bag from him containing the cash.Darshan owns a grocery store with the name Pintu Karyana store. We have collected the CCTV footages from the shopkeeper, nearby areas and other important points in Naraingarh. "On the complaint of shopkeeper Darshan Kumar, resident ward number 9, Naraingarh, the local police station has registered a case against three unknown persons under section 379 B of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Our teams are on the hunt to nab the snatchers as soon as possible. As per the initial investigation, the team has taken a photograph of one of the accused with the help of footage provided by the shopkeeper.As per Darshan, one of the snatchers before the incident had visited his shop to buy tobacco and red chilli powder.

On Thursday night at around 11 pm, Darshan was walking towards his home from the shop after taking Rs 2.5 lakh cash in a bag.Three unknown motorcycle-borne youths came from behind and snatched the bag from him and fled from the spot.Darshan ran behind to get hold of them but they managed to escape.Investigation officer, sub-inspector Amar Singh said, "A case has been registered for theft, snatching and an investigation has been initiated. We have collected the CCTV footages from the shopkeeper, nearby areas and other important points in Naraingarh.
