CHANDIGARH: Investigations into the IAF online examination fraud has revealed that Jitender Siwach, who also ran an academy to coach candidates for various competitive examinations, was the mastermind behind the incident.Police said he was camping at an unidentified place with a group of 10 people, who were solving the question paper, for the candidates who had struck a deal with Siwach.Siwach, along with other five accused, including, the manager and owners of the computer centre where examination was held and two others continue to be on the run.Sombir Singh, an accused arrested from the spot, is also partner in Shri Krishna Academy from where the racket was being run. All this came to light when the invigilators noticed candidates sitting idle and their papers being answered for them through a ghost server.Besides Aditya and Sombir, who were arrested from the spot, the police had booked J S Dahiya and Sanjay Ahlawat, the owner of the computer centre, Sahil and Jitender Siwach.Earlier on Thursday, the Indian Air force (IAF) officials were left stunned when they found out that tech-savvy fraudsters had hacked into their online exam to recruit non-commissioned officers in Rohtak. The fraudsters had gained remote access to computers used in the exam by setting up a parallel network.
