GURUGRAM: A 25-year-old gym trainer was arrested from Jharsa village on Monday for allegedly raping a minor girl.The girl, a Class 9 student, told police that she met the accused, Sushil Kumar, a few months ago. She often noticed him while returning home from school.After a few days, he offered her a lift in his car and allegedly molested and raped her. When she resisted he threatened to kill her. All this while, the girl kept quiet but on Monday, Sushil again blackmailed the girl to meet him on her way back from school. This time too he raped her. The girl returned home and without informing her parents approached the Women’s police station in Sector 51.She filed a complaint against Sushil and an FIR was registered under Section 6 of the POCSO Act and Section 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC. “The girl is in trauma. We have counselled her on Tuesday and will again hold another session soon,” said Shakuntala Dhull, CWC chairperson.“Sushil was arrested from his house on Monday night and during interrogation he accused confessed to his crime. We produced him in a city court on Tuesday that sent him to judicial custody,” said sub inspector Raj Bala, the investigating officer.
