Hisar: 3 women cops booked on complaint of woman head constable who consumed poison

After reaching her home at night, she consumed poison and her family members had rushed her to a hospital. HISAR: More than a week after she consumed poison, the Dalit woman head constable posted in Hisar , has told police that she was manhandled by three women cops due to which she drank an insecticide The complainant had consumed insecticide at her house on September 10 after she was booked for manhandling and threatening to kill police head constable Rajesh Sheoran, posted as reader to the Hisar deputy superintendent of police (DSP), whom she had accused of sexually harassing her. ASI Sulekha is Sheoran’s wife.Hisar police spokesperson Harish Bhardwaj said a case has been registered in this case against ASI Sulekha, ASI Seema and head constable Sunita under Sections 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 341 (wrongful restraint) and 34 (common intent) of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3 of the Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 on the complaint of the woman head constable.The woman had accused Sheoran of sexually harassing her. A case under Sections 354-A (4) (sexual harassment) and 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of the IPC and Section 3(2)V of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act was registered against Sheoran on her complaint on September 9, at the Hisar Civil Lines police station.After that a meeting was organized between her and Sheoran on September 10 at the Hisar women police station during which he had claimed that she manhandled and threatened to kill him.Following Sheoran’s allegations, the Hisar City police station booked the woman head constable under Sections 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC.
