Gangster’s wife seeks SIT probe

Pinki, a resident of Manesar, on Wednesday submitted a complaint to the police chief, demanding a SIT probe and a post-mortem by a medical board. Commissioner of police KK Rao also said that the family had come to get the post-mortem done by a medical board and that procedure was followed. However, Bhawar’s wife alleged that he was likely in police detention. Bhawar’s post-mortem report has confirmed he died due to bullet injuries. Pinki, however, alleged that there was a blue spot on his body and it was likely that he was tortured in police custody for two-three days before being killed in the encounter.

GURUGRAM: A day after gangster Bhawar Singh (35), wanted in the August 14 murder of a patwari, died of bullet wounds suffered in an encounter with police in Manesar , his wife has demanded an investigation into the encounter by a special investigation team (SIT).One of his associates, Ravidner alias Kallu, managed to escape on Tuesday, according to police. However, Bhawar’s wife alleged that he was likely in police detention. She claimed that her husband was in touch with Bilaspur crime investigation agency (CIA) and there was no reason for Tuesday’s encounter, which was carried out by Palam Vihar CIA.A senior police officer denied the allegations and said the post-mortem was conducted by a medical board before the body was handed over to family. Commissioner of police KK Rao also said that the family had come to get the post-mortem done by a medical board and that procedure was followed.
