A few days ago, Bharat allegedly forwarded a few pictures —of her ex-boyfriend and her — from her mobile to his phone that he later shared with their common friends on Monday.When she returned home around 10.30pm on Monday, she asked him what was his motive behind such an act. This led to an argument between the two which soon turned into a physical fight.“I started staying with him after my breakup with my ex-boyfriend. On Monday, I took his mobile phone and threw it on the floor, thinking that he should not have copies of the pictures, but he told me that he had saved the pictures in his laptop too. During our argument, he injured me physically and also threw a liquor bottle at me that hit my hand and I started bleeding,” the woman said.Following a PCR call, police reached the house and shifted the woman to the civil hospital for treatment. An FIR was registered against Bharat under sections 354-C (voyeurism), 323 (causing hurt), 509 (insulting the modesty of a woman), 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC and Section 67 of the IT Act at Sector 29 police station on Tuesday. The woman recorded her statement under Section 164 of Crpc in a city court on Wednesday following which Bharat was arrested.“Bharat was arrested from his residence on Wednesday evening. We will produce him in a city court on Thursday,” said Anil Yadav, ACP (DLF).
