GURUGRAM: A 16-year-old girl, who had gone to dump garbage near her house in Chandu Budhera village on Wednesday, was allegedly kidnapped and raped by an man, who later left her in a semi-nude condition in the village.The girl was taken to SGT Hospital on Wednesday night where doctors confirmed rape , following which a case was registered against the accused under Section 8 (moral turpitude and delinquency)of the POCSO Act.According to the girl’s parents, they have 11 members in their family, including three daughters, three sons and their wives. On Wednesday, the girl’s mother, father and brothers left home for work in the morning.When the mother returned from work at 5pm, her husband informed her that the girl, who had gone to dump garbage near their house at 1.30pm hadn’t returned home till then.Initially, they thought that she might have gone to some neighbour’s house. But as she didn’t return till 4pm they started looking for her but she was no where to be found.Around 8pm, a villager informed the family that the girl was sitting at a corner of the village. “We rushed to the spot and found her in a semi-nude condition. She was traumatised and could not speak a word. We took her to SGT Hospital in Bhudera and informed the village sarpanch,” the girl’s mother said. Police reached the hospital around 9pm and took the girl’s statement.Police spokesperson Subhash Bokan said, “The girl told us that after dumping garbage she went inside the fields to relive herself. That’s when someone came from behind and covered her face. After this she fell unconscious. When she gained consciousness, she found herself in a semi-nude condition and realised that she had been raped. She could not see the accused.”
