Tihar inmate booked for duping bizman

GURUGRAM: A city-based businessman, lodged in Delhi’s Tihar jail , has been booked for allegedly duping a director of a logistics firm in the city. “We will take him out on production warrant for questioning soon,” said investigating officer ASI Sunil Dhaka The accused allegedly sold 10 trucks after making fake registration certificates (RCs) and producing fake no-objection certificates (NOCs) from a bank at the vehicle registration authority of Gurugram.According to a complaint filed by Rohit Singh Tomar, director of R Sai Logistics, Sector 54, Kamal Kishore Goyal, a resident of Sahara Grace society, contacted him last year.“He offered good rates and I agreed to buy 10 trucks. He delivered the trucks but I found out that the NOC, purportedly from Corporation Bank , Paschim Vihar, New Delhi, was fake and the loan against the trucks is still pending,” said Tomar.An FIR has been registered against Goyal under IPC sections 420 (cheating), 467 (forging document), 468 (forgery), 471 (using forged document as genuine) at the Sector 29 police station.
