Hisar: Chitfund company’s director arrested for cheating, forgery

HISAR: Hisar police arrested the director of a chitfund company for allegedly cheating its investors. The company also offered laptops and cars to lure investors and didn’t pay the money later to them, said police. Anand was on Saturday produced before a court, which sent him in police custody for four days.A Hisar police spokesperson said Anand’s company had investors through the chit-fund scheme and siphoned money to Punjab, Jaipur in Rajasthan and Jhajjar. He said they sought his police remand to find this money trail and also to recover his lalptop, which contained all information related to the company.Police said ASG Techmart offered four to five times the return on money invested by people. ASG Techmart Solutions director Anand Pal was arrested on a complaint by Pradeep Siwach, a resident of Lakshmi Vihar Colony in Hisar.He was booked at Hisar Civil Lines police station, under sections 420 (cheating), 406 (criminal breach of trust), 120B (criminal conspiracy), 467 (forgery of valuable security, will, etc), 468 (forgery for purpose of cheating) and 471 (using as genuine a forged document) of the Indian Penal Code .
