Raj man held in city with 9kg marijuana

Gurgaon: A 28-year-old man was arrested from Sohna road on Thursday for allegedly supplying marijuana in the city. When cops asked the driver to open the car’s trunk, he was a little hesitant but opened it. “We kept two packets of 100 grams each for tests and deposited the remaining in the records room,” said ASI Jitender of Sadar police station. The police claimed to have found 9 kg marijuana on him. Police found nine packets of marijuana — two packets were open and the remaining sealed.The driver, Deepak Kumar (28), a resident of Nimrana, Rajasthan , was booked under Section 20-61-85 of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

He was produced in a court and sent to judicial custody.A police team stationed at the check post on Sohna Road in Sector 47 stopped a WagonR coming from the Rajiv Chowk side around 5am on Thursday for a routine check. When cops asked the driver to open the car’s trunk, he was a little hesitant but opened it. Police found nine packets of marijuana — two packets were open and the remaining sealed.The driver, Deepak Kumar (28), a resident of Nimrana, Rajasthan , was booked under Section 20-61-85 of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. “We kept two packets of 100 grams each for tests and deposited the remaining in the records room,” said ASI Jitender of Sadar police station.
