ABVP wins top seats in Kurukshetra University

The candidates nominated for the executive council are from Indic Studies Vishnu Bhagwan and Aman; from Life Sciences Gaurav and Garwita; from Science Sandeep, Ashish Jangra, Pradip Kumar, and Inderjit Singh; and from Commerce & Management Kamal Goel, Bhanu Pratap, and Prince Ahlawat. According to an official, the process is going on smoothly and the elections of 41 class representatives (CRs) were completed at around 11.30am. The elected 41 CRs, 26 male and 15 female candidates, will now get to vote for the Kurukshetra University Campus Students Executive Council (KUCSEC).At 6.30pm, there were two nominations for the post of president, three for vice president, three for secretary, three for joint secretary and 14 for the executive councils of the KUCSEC. There would be a nine-member students council, including president, vice president, secretary, joint secretary and five members of the executive council.The candidates nominated for the president post were Omkar Chauhan and Shivani; for the vice president Namita Nandal, Neetu and Suruchi; for the secretary Shubham Kalia, Shyam Rawat, and Vikas Kumar; and for the joint secretary Priyanka Sehrawat, Vipul and Krishan Kumar. KURUKSHETRA: At the indirect students union elections at Kurukshetra University (KU), the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has won the top seats of Kurukshetra University Campus Students Executive Council (KUCSEC).Omkar Chauhan from the Institute of Law has been elected as the president, Namita Nandal of Microbiology department is elected as vice president, Shubham Kalia of Law department is elected as secretary, and Priyanka Sehrawat is elected as joint secretary of the student body.The five elected members of the Executive Council are Kamal Goel of Commerce department, Vishnu Bhagwan of Sanskrit , Pali, & Prakrit department; Sandeep of University Institute of Engineering & Technology, Gaurav of Biochemistry department and Sandeep of Chemistry department.The students’ union elections, which were being organised after a gap of 22 years, are being conducted without any obstruction in the presence of heavy police force in the KU campus.
