Ambala: Man threatens woman by posing as minister's PA, booked

We are investigating the case.”Ambala Sadar SHO Mehar Singh said, “We have registered the case against Chhinder who posed as PA to the minister. On January 7, at around 11.21pm, I received a call on my mobile phone in which the accused identified himself as Chhinder, the PA of health minister Anil Vij. Harpreet had leveled false charges of rape against Gagandeep following which we had dropped the section 376 IPC from the case. The recordings have been obtained and the voice would be analysed and further proceedings are going on.”

AMBALA: Police have filed a case against a man who allegedly threatened a woman by posing as cabinet minister Anil Vij 's personal assistant.Harpreet Kaur, the complainant, alleged that accused Chhinder had warned her of dire consequences if she didn't withdraw a cheating case she had filed against one Gagandeep and his aide Sandeep.When Kaur met Anil Vij on Tuesday and shared with him the phone recording of the conversation with Chhinder, she came to know that she was being bluffed.Harpreet has stated that “I had filed a complaint against Gagandeep and Sandeep under section 376, 420, and 406 of the IPC at Ambala Women Police Station. The accused was arrested by the district police. The next hearing of the case will be held on January 23. On January 7, at around 11.21pm, I received a call on my mobile phone in which the accused identified himself as Chhinder, the PA of health minister Anil Vij. The accused threatened me while asking to withdraw my complaints against Gagandeep and Sandeep. On January 8, when I went to minister Vij’s residence, I came to know that there is no such PA to the minister.”Ambala women police SHO Sunita Dhaka said, “The accused Gagandeep was booked under rape charges in 2018, but later during our investigation, we came to know that he was in a live-in relationship with Harpreet. Harpreet had leveled false charges of rape against Gagandeep following which we had dropped the section 376 IPC from the case. The case of 420 and 406 IPC is under investigation. Harpreet and her husband have seperated and she had received some money as a final settlement. Gagandeep came in contact with Harpreet and he duped her of the money.
