Eye on 2019 LS polls, SAD to hold rally in Ambala on February 9

AMBALA: With parliamentary elections looming, the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) would sound the poll bugle in Haryana by holding a rally at Ambala on February 9. "Commenting on alliance in Haryana, Brar said, "As of now we have come here to contest alone and we would do the same and rest the time would tell." "Responding to a query on Satluj-Yamuna Link (SYL) canal and separate Gurdwara committee for Haryana, Brar said, "The SYL issue would be sent to core committee and if there is any issue related to Gurdwara committees that would be forwarded to the SGPC president who would resolve these issues. Party president Sukhbir Singh Badal would address the rally, Charanjit Singh Brar, officer on special duty (OSD) to Sukhbir Singh Badal told a press conference.The SAD has been planning to contest alone in Haryana, earlier a rally has been held at Pipli, now it would be held at Ambala on February 9 and later at Sirsa on February 17.Haryana president of SAD Sharanjit Singh Sotha said, "If our government comes to power, we would definitely support the SYL issue in the favour of Haryana.
