Four-year-old girl dies in hit-and-run crash in Farrukhnagar

GURUGRAM: A four-year-old girl was mowed down by a speeding car near Kaithawas bus stand in Farrukhnagar on Saturday.The car ran over the girl around Saturday noon when she was going towards a pharmacy to buy medicines along with her mother. An FIR was registered against the unidentified driver under sections 279 (rash driving) and 304A (death due to accident ) of the IPC at Farrukhnagar police station. A PCR call was made and he was taken to Civil Hospital where he died during treatment. A case was registered against the unidentified bus driver at sector 37C police station.Besides this, atanker driver died when his tanker rammed into a stationary tractor trolley near Pachgaon. The biker, identified as Vicky (21), was going towards Manesar when he was hit from behind by the speeding bus.

We were crossing the road when a car coming in high speed hit my daughter. Before we could understand what exactly happened, the driver fled the spot in the car,” the girl’s mother told police.Passersby helped the woman rush her daughter to a nearby hospital where doctors declared her dead on arrival. An FIR was registered against the unidentified driver under sections 279 (rash driving) and 304A (death due to accident ) of the IPC at Farrukhnagar police station. Three more accidents took place on the Delhi-Gurugram Expressway on Saturday in which three people, including a call centre employee, died. Kesav Thirani (23), a call centre employee, who was returning home around 5 am on his bike after work from his office on Sohna road was hit by a car near 32 Milestone.Following the crash, Keshav fell to the ground and injured his head. A PCR call was made and he was taken to Civil Hospital where he died during treatment. Following a relative’s complaint, an FIR was registered in the case under section 279 (rash driving) and 304A (death due to accident) of the IPC at Civil Lines police station.In a similar incident, a Rajasthan state transport bus hit a biker near Haldiram in Sector 37C on Saturday. The biker, identified as Vicky (21), was going towards Manesar when he was hit from behind by the speeding bus. A PCR call was made and he was taken to Civil Hospital where he died during treatment. A case was registered against the unidentified bus driver at sector 37C police station.Besides this, atanker driver died when his tanker rammed into a stationary tractor trolley near Pachgaon. The deceased was identified as Krishan Singh.
