GURUGRAM: If the government has its way, the city will get its first state-run medical college in three years’ time.
The medical college will be developed by GMDA, and the cost will be borne by GMDA, MCG and Sheetla Mata shrine board.
With the appointment of the consultant, officials hope that the work on the medical college will start soon.According to the GMDA’s plan, the medical college project will be executed in two phases.
The GMDA has started preparing the master plan for Sheetla Mata Devi Medical College, which will also have a hospital wing, near Dwarka Expressway in Sector 102.The MCG has already transferred the land earmarked for the college in Kherki Majra to the development authority.
“We have appointed a consultant to prepare the masterplan, and once it submits that we will proceed with other work,” said a GMDA official.
