The task was carried out under Operation Muskan, a campaign first launched in 2015 by Haryana Police and the department of women and child development to trace and rescue missing children in the state.11-year-old Anu and 13-year-old Anirudh, both a native of Dohra in UP, have been staying with their elder brother Amit, a worker in Chakkarpur area. On Tuesday, Anu and Anirudh left home to buy some items from a nearby shop and lost their way.“We spotted the two children roaming around the metro station,” said Manju, ASI (DLF 3 police station). She said that the children were brought to police station as they were unable to provide their address details. “However, after they shared the contact number of their elder brother, we helped them reunite with their family,” she added.On Wednesday, Rishav (12) also lost his way after he went out of his home. The boy was staying with his father, who works as a construction worker, in a slum near Sikanderpur.“Our teams conduct regular operations to find missing children,” said SHO of DLF 3 police station, Rajender Kumar , adding that police have also appealed to the citizens to participate in Operation Muskan. “To inform about missing children, people can email us the photo, name, or any available details including location of the children,” he said.
