Hisar man gets life term for raping minor Dalit girl

HISAR: A man was awarded life sentence for raping a 17-year-old Dalit girl in October 2017. They took her to police station, survivor had told. When he went to the room at around midnight, her daughter was not there. When she went down to check, she saw three men from her village standing there.One of them tied her hand with a dupatta and all three of them took her on a motorcycle to another village. One of them forced her to smell some chemical, which made her nauseous and she soon fainted, as per the case details.When she regained her senses in the morning, she found herself on a deserted road and started walking behind two rag picking women.

HISAR: A man was awarded life sentence for raping a 17-year-old Dalit girl in October 2017. Additional district and sessions judge Pankaj, however, acquitted two of his friends in the case.Hisar police had registered a case for rape, kidnapping, and under section 6 (aggravated penetrative sexual assault) of the protection of children from sexual offences (POCSO) Act and the SC/ST Act on the complaint of rape survivor on October 31, 2017.In the complaint given to police, father of girl had said that on the night of October 29, 2017, his 17-year-old daughter was sleeping in a room on the roof of his house. When he went to the room at around midnight, her daughter was not there. Next day, he received a call from Bhuna police station that her daughter was there and he went and brought her back, he had said.After this the police recorded the statement of girl in the court where she had said that when she got up to answer nature’s call a man was calling to her father from outside of the house. When she went down to check, she saw three men from her village standing there.One of them tied her hand with a dupatta and all three of them took her on a motorcycle to another village.
