Woman, brother-in-law get life term for murder

HISAR: A woman resident of Pabara village of Hisar district and her brother-in-law, a resident of Kharal village of Jind , have been awarded life sentence for the murder her lover in October 2016. Surendra told the cops that after consuming alcohol as Jaipal started walking away from them, Robina told him to shoot Jaipal. After some time Jaipal called Robina on her mobile phone and they fixed a meeting with him at Agroha. After shooting Jaipal, both accused left the place.During investigation, the police received an information that a villager had seen Jaipal with Surendra and Robina. They tried to hire a room in a hotel there, but the hotel manager had refused to give one room to three persons, Surendra said during police interrogation.According to him, after being refused a room they had gone to Barwala and on their way, they stopped and drank alcohol near Jewara village.

Additional district and sessions judge D R Chalia also imposed a fine of Rs 6,000 on Surender and Robina to pay Rs 5,000.Barwala police station of Hisar district had registered a case of murder under the IPC and the Arms Act on October 28, 2018, on the complaint of Satbir of Jewara village of Hisar district, uncle of the deceased youth.According to the case deatils, Barwala had police found body of an unknown youth near Jewara village on October 27, 2016. A day later, Satbir had identified it to be his nephew Jaipal alias Sonu, and the police had registered a murder case on the complaint of Satbir.During the investigation, Surendra told the cops that Robina had told him that she was involved with Jaipal, but he had refused to marry her and she wanted to take a revenge.According to Surendra, he had come to Hisar along with Robina on October 27, 2016, and stayed in a hotel with her. After some time Jaipal called Robina on her mobile phone and they fixed a meeting with him at Agroha. They tried to hire a room in a hotel there, but the hotel manager had refused to give one room to three persons, Surendra said during police interrogation.According to him, after being refused a room they had gone to Barwala and on their way, they stopped and drank alcohol near Jewara village. After shooting Jaipal, both accused left the place.During investigation, the police received an information that a villager had seen Jaipal with Surendra and Robina. Apart from this, the police recovered 315 bore pistol from the possession of the accused that matched the bullet found in Jaipla’s body.Additional district attorney Rajeev Sardana said the positive blastic report and the number plate of Surendra’s motorcycle that was found on the spot was the basis of the conviction in the case.
