Now, farmer-labour outfit to fight assembly polls in Haryana

At this moment we are not fully prepared for Lok Sabha elections but the next state elections would be in Haryana , therefore, we would be strengthening our base in the state for contesting state elections. Singh told TOI, “We have recently registered our political party and our focus is on the upcoming state assembly elections in Haryana. We have appointed the state president of our party and the membership work would continue to happen in the coming time. Today we have sown a seed of our political party with a motive to change the politics and we would be doing the politics for the public. In today’s position, the country is ruled by the corporate world and the present government is for the corporate, of the corporate and by the corporate.

KURUKSHETRA: Calling itself an outfit that will contest the state legislative assembly elections for the first time starting from the state of Haryana_a state-level meeting the farmers' leader gathered at Jaat Dharamshala in Kurukshetra where they launched the expansion of political party of the farmers and labourers namely 'Rashtriya Kisan Majdoor Party (RKMP)'.As per the list dated March 15, 2019, uploaded on the website of the Election Commission of India (ECI), the RKMP is listed as registered unrecognized political party with its headquarters in Greater Kailash-II, New Delhi and it is headed by farmers’ leader V M Singh from Pilibhit in Uttar Pradesh who is also the national president of this party. Singh told TOI, “We have recently registered our political party and our focus is on the upcoming state assembly elections in Haryana. At this moment we are not fully prepared for Lok Sabha elections but the next state elections would be in Haryana , therefore, we would be strengthening our base in the state for contesting state elections. We have appointed the state president of our party and the membership work would continue to happen in the coming time. We have decided to fight for farmers as they feel deeply disgruntled and no past regimes have been successful in providing any relief to the farmers and labourers, therefore we would be strengthening our own outfit. In these conditions, we would choose NOTA in place of any traditional regimes.”Singh was the chief guest of the farmers’ gathering at Jaat Bhawan in Kurukshetra and after the gathering, it has been decided with the consensus to appoint state president of unregistered Bharatiya Kisan Union (Haryana) Gurnam Singh Charuni also the state president of RKMP. Another farmers’ leader from Charkhi Dadri namely Mahendra who claimed that he has a registered political party with the name Bharatiya Kisan Party (BKP) also came in support of the political outfit of the farmers and labourers in Kurukshetra.Talking to TOI, Charuni said, “After an experience of nearly 25 years in the field of farmers’ welfare it has been decided that we would be participating in mainstream politics and we have decided to come under the umbrella of RMKP which is a registered political party with the ECI. Today we have sown a seed of our political party with a motive to change the politics and we would be doing the politics for the public. In today’s position, the country is ruled by the corporate world and the present government is for the corporate, of the corporate and by the corporate. But we would work to change this to for the people, of the people and by the people.” When questioned about upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Charuni said, “We would see which party offers any sought of representation to our leaders and accordingly would decide on whom to vote in the Lok Sabha elections. We have already decided to boycott ruling BJP, while Congress as the main opposition in the parliament has also not been able to provide much relief.”
