The robbers tried to overpower him when the car was stuck in a traffic jam, but he managed to break a window and get out. His bag, however, was left in the cab.An FIR has been registered at Udyog Vihar police station.Aditya Hooda, a resident of Dwarka, works as senior executive with a Sector 15-based travel company. Around 10pm on Tuesday, he left office and was waiting for a cab to go home when a Maruti Eeco car approached him. Four persons, including the driver, were already inside, and Hooda too boarded the cab.“A distance away, they suddenly started thrashing me and snatched my bag. Near Shankar Chowk , the car stopped due to a traffic jam. Seeing my chance of escape, I broke the car window beside me and somehow managed to get off the car. I shouted for help. When passersby started gathering, traffic cleared a little and the accused drove to the side of the road, got out of the car and fled. They took my bag away, which contained Rs 3,700 in cash, my mobile phone, lunch box and some valuable documents. I was tired and injured and went home. I approached police the next day,” Hooda told police in his complaint.An FIR was registered against the four accused, who haven’t been identified yet, under sections 379B (snatching by use of force) and 34 (common intention) of the IPC at Udyog Vihar police station on Wednesday. “We have recovered the car, which is registered in the name of an Alwar resident, Sayyad. We are on the job and the accused will be arrested soon,” said ASI Virender Singh, the investigating officer.
