AMBALA: The Kurukshetra Member Parliament (MP) and president of Loktantra Suraksha Party (LSP) Raj Kumar Saini on Saturday held a meeting with some prominent Ambala residents at a resort in Ambala City. The gathering was organised to remember contribution of martyrs Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev on the day of their anniversary of martyrdom on March 23.During the gathering, MP Saini appointed Ambala based businessman Rajender Kumar Narula from Punjabi community as Haryana state senior vice-president of his party LSP.While clearing all the speculation about him contesting the Lok Sabha elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) rebel MP Saini said, “I would be contesting the parliamentary elections only if any of the former Haryana chief minister (CM) Bhupinder Singh Hooda or present CM Manohar Lal Khattar is nominated by their parties from the Sonepat constituency. If they are not nominated from Sonepat then I would not be contesting the Lok Sabha elections and would be leading the LSP-BSP alliance campaign in the state. I want to defeat the top leadership in the state which has misled the public of Haryana. Our party alliance is also asking me to contest from Kurukshetra seat and for the same we are working to finalise what to do next.”Commenting on the seat-sharing formula with the alliance BSP, MP Saini said, “Our formula of 8 and 2 seats is final, where BSP would be contesting on 8 seats and LSP on 2 seats. We are waiting for other parties to release the names of their candidates from Kurukshetra and Sonepat seats and accordingly further decision would be taken on both these seats.”In today’s gathering, LSP president MP Saini talked mostly on the topic of equal deserving reservations to several communities including Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes (SC/ST), Other Backward Class , Brahims, Jaats, Swarans, Baniya, Gurjars, and others.MP Saini alleged all the past and present CMs in Haryana of working for their own community and providing high rates of jobs to the youths belongs to their community. In his speech, Saini alleged that the top posts in the Haryana are held by Swarans while the minorities are kept limited to the posts like sweepers, peons, clerks etc. Saini alleged, “Of all the communities, the 10 per cent Swarans hold more than 80 per cent of the top posts in the country and state while deserving reserved communities have been deprived of their rights. There should a fixed reservation to each community so the representations in the mainstream are distributed equally.”Saini also said most of the martyrs belong to some particular communities which have not been given deserving representation by the past regimes in India. While attacking BJP and Congress, Saini said, “In the last 5 years BJP has left the state in an apathetic condition while the same has been achieved by Congress in its 55 years of the rule in India.”
