Two killed, six injured in head-on collision on Ambala-Yamunanagar highway

The sources said that collision was so strong that the Sumo car got severely damaged following which driver died on the way to the hospital while the woman died on the spot and six others suffered serious injuries. The accused would be taken into custody after obtaining records from the UP roadways.” The post-mortem and cremations of the deceased have been performed. AMBALA: Two persons were killed while six others suffered serious injuries when a Tata Sumo collided with a UP roadways bus on Ambala-Yamunanagar highway at around 6.30am.The deceased have been identified as Surender Singh (70), Anguri Devi (46), both resident of Nohni village.As per the report, eight persons were travelling in the Sumo car from village Nohni to Ambala Cantonment , when they reached near a poultry farm on Kalpi-Saha road, their car met with an accident.

The sources said that collision was so strong that the Sumo car got severely damaged following which driver died on the way to the hospital while the woman died on the spot and six others suffered serious injuries. The injured were rushed to MMU Hospital in Mullana.The UP roadways bus was travelling from Ambala Cantonment to Saharanpur.The injured have been identified as complainant Kulwant Kaur, Gyanchand, Surender, Ramkaran, Harkeet Singh (13), all residents of village Nohni and Dalip Kumar, a resident of Kalpi in the district.In her complaint, Kulwant Kaur has demanded action as per law against the UP roadways bus driver who had hit their car.The Mullana police have registered a case against the unknown driver under sections 279 (rash driving), 304-A (causing death by negligence), and 337 of the IPC to start the investigation into this case.Mullana SHO inspector Harbhajan Singh said, "In the accident, two persons have died while six injured are undergoing treatment at MMU Hospital.
