Truck rams into another on KMP Expressway, 1 killed

An FIR has been registered against the errant truck driver and we are scanning CCTV footages to identify him. Gurgaon: A 37-year-old truck driver died and the cleaner escaped with minor injuries after their truck rammed into another on Kundli-Manesar-Palwal ( KMP Expressway on Saturday night.According to the police , Imran Khan was driving the truck while his father Sifaqt Ali used to work as a cleaner.The truck was heading towards Sardana in Uttar Pradesh when the accident happened. Near Sultanpur village, the truck that was moving ahead of us suddenly applied the brakes. “On Saturday, we were transporting some goods from Bhiwani in Rajasthan and moving towards Sardana in UP. Around midnight, we took the KMP expressway.

Around midnight, we took the KMP expressway. Near Sultanpur village, the truck that was moving ahead of us suddenly applied the brakes. Imran tried to control our truck but as the other truck was very close we rammed into it,” said Ali adding that his son sustained serious injuries while accused truck fled from the scene.Ali immediately informed police and a highway patrolling team rushed to their rescue. They were taken to a hospital in Farrukhnagar where Imran succumbed to his injuries. Following Ali’s statement, an FIR was registered against the errant truck driver under sections 279 (rash driving) and 304 (unintentional murder) of the IPC at Farrukhnagar police station.“The body was handed over to the family after a postmortem. An FIR has been registered against the errant truck driver and we are scanning CCTV footages to identify him. He will be nabbed soon,” said Subhash Boken, spokesperson of Gurgaon police.
