INFUSION’S THREE DAY ANNUAL AFFAIR CONCLUDES ON A GRAND NOTE

With participation by over 2000 students from across 25 colleges in India, Indian Institute of Management Rohtak’s annual cultural-cum-management fest, Infusion, was an expression of the sheer diversity in terms of its expansive catalogue of events encompassing performing arts, fashion, sports, technical and management events, and incredible performances by celebrated artists.

The last day of the three-day annual extravaganza of Infusion 2020 kick-started with a Nukkad Natak or street play competition, performed by students of various college teams. The winning performance was bagged by Team Rahmuna and the runners-up were Team Trymbakkam. Teams travelled from various colleges in North India to compete in the dance and music competitions. Ankur Verma from Ramjas College was the winner of the solo dance event and the duet dance winners were Team Bhangre de Sartaj from JIIT. The event lasted all day with teams starting early in the morning and going into the night.
Other events that were held throughout the day were Prodyogiki, a competition organised by the Analytics Club of IIM Rohtak, where among the various competing teams, Team Bridge Tigers from SCMHRD Pune emerged victorious. Team Stampede of IMI Delhi were the winners of Clepsydra, organised by the Strategy and Consulting Club of IIM Rohtak.
The much-awaited finale artist night, VH1 Supersonic, an ‘EDM nite’, enthralled the students, participants and faculty members alike, and the three-day affair concluded on a grand note.
The campus was buzzing with bright colours and enthusiastic faces of everyone who was gripped by the excitement of Infusion festivities!
The fest witnessed huge laughter and entertainment of the crowd on day one with one of the most satirical comedians of India Mr. Rahul Subhramaniam. True to the spirit of Infusion, Darshan Raval took the audience by storm on day two as he performed some of his greatest hits and pumped up the audience. The audience was jumping on their feet during the power-packed performance for two hours. The fest also hosted events like business case study competitions organised by Team Conspectus & Solo singing and group dancing competition where students from all around the nation participated. Mr. & Miss Infusion was also one of the major attractions of the event.
The second day of Infusion’20, begun in the wee hours of the day as thousands of individuals gathered to run for health and nutrition. The run started from the new campus of IIM Rohtak. The event enjoyed huge participation as around 2000 individuals turned up despite the cold weather. Mr. Yogeshwar Dutta flagged off the Marathon amidst the Bharat Mata ki Jai slogans by the crowd.
One of the highlights and the most productive event was the Model United Nations which oversaw huge participation from students from top B-schools of India. The students took the responsibility of governance and discussed critical problems faced the countries and came up with innovative solutions.
Infusion’20 ended on a high note with a promise of making Infusion’21 even bigger and better by setting a trend of excellence. IIM Rohtak, located in the Delhi-NCR region, has been developing managers with a sense of excellence; strong social commitment and a passion for a value system and Infusion `20 are one of the many steps in this regard for providing an all-round education to the students. IIM Rohtak is now amongst the top-20 management schools in the country.
