Two assault 39-year-old at women’s hostel, booked

Gurgaon: A 39-year-old occupant of a womens hostel in Civil Lines has alleged that she was physically assaulted by two others staying at the hostelThe omplainant Sonu Singh, who works as a banker in the city, alleged that two occupants at the hostel have been hurling abuses at her and physical assaulting for the past one year. The duo would threaten Singh and attempt to intimidate her to leave the hostel, Singh told the police.On September 14, they engaged in a heated altercation with me, using extremely abusive language. When I protested, a scuffle broke out, resulting in a fracture in my little finger, Singh said in her complaint.The two accused, Shyama (28) and Sanju (35), are both employed at the Red Cross Society. Shyama works as a clerk while Sanju is employed as a security guard. Singh says she has submitted CCTV footage of the altercation along with other evidence to the police alongside her complaint. An FIR was registered under sections 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 325 (causing grievous hurt) and 34 (common intention) of the IPC at the Civil Lines police station on Wednesday. Singh also said in her complaint that she had previously filed a complaint with the Red Cross as well, but that no action had been taken. Shyama, being a clerk, has influential connections. It has become unsafe and intimidating for me to return home every day, Singh added.
