IPS officer whose kin might have joined terror outfit shifted

GUWAHATI: The Assam government on Wednesday transferred IPS officer Inam-ul-Haq Mengnoo , whose "missing" brother is suspected to have joined a terror outfit in Kashmir.A 2012-batch officer, Inam-ul-Haq was the superintendent of police, Hamren, in Karbi Anglong district . He has now been placed with an Assam Police commando battalion near Guwahati.The government said it was a "routine transfer".
