I share a good relationship with him,” Rijiju told reporters here.Rijiju said Tuki had done a lot in his 25-year long political innings in the state under various capacities and added the former CM should now pave way for others.“It is my duty to do for the people what Tuki could not do and there is no reason that Tuki should come back to show his mettle. My take is very positive as our party is contesting the poll based on the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a developed and strong India,” Rijiju said. Asked about the party’s poll prospect in the northeast which has 25 Lok Sabha seats, the Union minister said the party would win 21 to 22 seats in the region. “I have seen the mood of the nation. As per the ground report, the party along with its allies will win 21 to seats in the northeast. I am not predicting but my calculation is based on ground reports,” he added.The Arunachal West seat, comprising 33 assembly segments, is set to witness a seven-cornered contest this time with Janata Dal (Secular) fielding Jarjum Ete, a political green horn.The other candidates who are in the fray are Khoda Apik of National Peoples' Party, Subu Kechi of PPA, Jomin Nyokir of All India Forward Bloc and independent candidate Rumak Jomoh.During the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Rijiju won the seat by defeating his nearest rival Takam Sanjoy of Congress by 41,738 votes.Arunachal Pradesh is going to simultaneous Lok Sabha and assembly polls on April 11 next.
