APCC General Secretary Mukul Sarma Passes Away

STAFF REPORTERGUWAHATI: APCC general secretary and senior spokesperson Mukul Sarma passed away after prolonged illness at a private city hospital at 11.10 am on Monday. The last rites were conducted at Nabagrah crematorium, where people in huge numbers along with various Congress party leaders were present. Before his last rites were performed, the deceased was taken to Rajiv Bhawan where senior party leaders and workers offered shraddhanjali and their deepest condolences. He will ever be remembered as a great debater who was also the general secretary at Cotton College in his youth. Sarma was also a part of the Assam Agitation movement and joined politics at a very early age.

He was 51 and is survived by his wife and son. The last rites were conducted at Nabagrah crematorium, where people in huge numbers along with various Congress party leaders were present. Before his last rites were performed, the deceased was taken to Rajiv Bhawan where senior party leaders and workers offered shraddhanjali and their deepest condolences.
