NFR Disaster Management Plan Held At NF Railway Headquarter At Maligaon

GUWAHATI: The Zonal Disaster Management Plan of NF Railway received ISO 9001:2015 certification which was formally announced by Sanjive Roy, General Manager, NFR at the Conference of the Senior Divisional Safety Officers (Sr.DSO) held at NF Railway Headquarter at Maligaon on August 29 in the presence of Principal Chief Safety Officer MK Agrawal, and other senior officials. The conference also deliberated on other crucial safety issues for smooth train operations. Railway Disaster Management Plans for each zone of Indian Railway were prepared following the suggestion of a High Level Committee in September, 2002 to prepare a plan enumerating the basic work-frame for organizing efficient relief operation in handling a disaster. Following this, NFR had adopted the Zonal Disaster Management Plan in 2005 which is being updated periodically, a press release stated.
