Prof Jagdish Mukhi Advocates for Utilization of Alternative Sources of Energy

GUWAHATI: Assam Governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi said that engineers in general and chemical engineers, in particular, have immense role in fulfilling the dreams of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as Assam has become the first few states to have incorporated SDGs with governance few years back. Inaugurating the 35th national convention of Chemical Engineers on Food-Energy-Water Nexus: Challenges for chemical engineers at the Institution of Engineers here on Friday, Governor Prof. Mukh said, “We have Goal 2 as “Zero Hunger”, Goal 6 as “Clean Water and Sanitation” and Goal 7 as “Affordable and Clean Energy”. He thanked the local organiser Assam State Centre of the Institution of Engineers (India) for incorporating these three Goals in the focal theme of this National Convention in the form of Food-Energy-Water Nexus, a press release stated.
