Jagdish Mukhi Sarbananda Sonowal Condole Demise of Ram Jethmalani

GUWAHATI: Assam Governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi and Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal mourned the passing away of eminent lawyer and great parliamentarian Ram Jethmalani who breathed his last on Sunday. In a statement today, Prof. Mukhi said, “Ram Jethmalani was an eminent lawyer and a great parliamentarian who made a lasting impact on the legal and political landscape of the country. With his death the country has lost a great public leader and a human being”. In a separate press release, Sonowal deeply condoled the death of the former Union minister. He said that Ram Jethamalani had played a pivotal role in strengthening the judicial system of the country and his demise was an irreparable loss.

Expressing his deep condolences to the bereaved family members, the Governor prayed to the Almighty for eternal peace of the departed soul. In a separate press release, Sonowal deeply condoled the death of the former Union minister. He said that Ram Jethamalani had played a pivotal role in strengthening the judicial system of the country and his demise was an irreparable loss. Jethmalani had made stellar contributions in taking the judicial system closer to the people and he had also served the country in the capacity of a union minister holding several portfolios in the ministry of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Sonowal said, a press release said.
