STAFF REPORTERGUWAHATI: The 4th State Students' convention organized by All India Democratic Students' Organization (AIDSO) has started from Monday and will continue till September 11. The students came out with placards with demands to scrap the National Education policy 2019 as well as the semester-wise and CBCS systems. The other demands included creation of proper infrastructure for online form fill-up in schools and colleges, provincialisation of venture schools, resuming the system of pass and fail from class one, to stop commercialization and saffronisation of education. Raging that the current scenario in the education system is both commercialized and saffronized, AIDSO appealed the students society to come together in order to fight against capitalism that is the root cause behind creating discrimination among the students.
