Sadou Axom Prathamik Demand For Salary Hike

Staff ReporterGUWAHATI: The Sadou Axom Prathamik Aru Uchcha Prathamik Modhyahno Bhujan Randhoni Santha has raised the demand for hike in their remunerations, besides paying remunerations for 12 months in a calendar year instead of ten months. They also demanded regularizations of their posts with the issuance of appoint letters, besides urging the authorities to desist from any conspiracy to remove a few cooks who have been working from the very beginning of the Mid-Day Meal Scheme. Addressing the press at Dispur Press Club on Wednesday, Santha's working president Jiten Rabha said: “Cooks under this scheme are being paid Rs 3,000 per month in Jharkhand and Bihar. If other States can pay such an amount, why cannot Assam follow suit.
