Smuggled Cigarettes of Rs 705000 Seized in Pan Bazaar Guwahati

STAFF REPORTERGUWAHATI: A raid was conducted at a godown near Don Bosco School, Pan Bazaar on Friday by a CID team, where 13 cartons of illegally smuggled foreign origin cigarettes were recovered. The cigarettes are priced at Rs 7,05,000. Three people were apprehended in this regard namely Krishna Sahu, 28, from Athgaon, Raju Ram Sah, 24, from Station Chariali, and Suresh Kumar Betala, 45, from Lakhtokia. A case is being registered in this regard at CID police station.
