Talking to The Sentinel, an official attributed such a steep rise in the registration of motor vehicles in the State to easy bank loans and frequent car melas in the State. The situation, according to him, has enabled the middle class failies to procure cars. The official, however, felt that after the implementation of the Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Act, 2019, the scenario might change. He added that there has been no notification from the government for implementation of the Act.
