Closure of BSNL a Baseless Rumour Chief GM Sandeep Govil

STAFF REPORTERGUWAHATI: Putting their statement on the recent report regarding the recommendations of the Finance Ministry of Government of India for the closure of BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Limited), the BSNL Assam circle declared the report as baseless and untrue.
Requesting their customers, public including media persons not to pay attention to such rumors, chief general manager, BSNL Assam Sandeep Govil said, “No statement was made by the Central and State government for closure of Bharat Sanchar Limited.
Instead, there is a plan under active consideration for revival of BSNL by government of India by giving suitable package in terms of VRS/4G spectrum and allowing monetization of assets available with BSNL.
He said, “BSNL's market share is improving day by day.
BSNL will always be with our esteemed customers and continue to serve the nation especially during difficult times of natural calamities.
