AITUC Decries Privatization of Public Sectors

Submits memorandum to PMSTAFF REPORTERGUWAHATI: The All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC): Assam State Committee took out a demonstration while observing 'Save Public Sector Industries Day' against privatization of public sector industries at Lakhminath Bezbarua Chalk (Guwahati Club) on Tuesday. Labors and employees from many public sector industries including ONGC, OIL, NRL, BPCL, IOC, CCI, and BCPL took part in the programme. AITUC: Assam State Committee general secretary, Ramen said, “AITUC is observing Sankalp Diwas in every part of the country. We will never let the government to privatize our public sector industries. Submits memorandum to PM STAFF REPORTER GUWAHATI: The All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC): Assam State Committee took out a demonstration while observing Save Public Sector Industries Day against privatization of public sector industries at Lakhminath Bezbarua Chalk (Guwahati Club) on Tuesday. Labors and employees from many public sector industries including ONGC, OIL, NRL, BPCL, IOC, CCI, and BCPL took part in the programme. After the demonstration programme, a memorandum was submitted to the Prime Minister from AITUC with demands against privatization of BPCL, NRL, and NEEPCO including HPCL, Rail, Defense and Airport etc. The committee also demanded for the revival of the closed industries such as the paper mills and the polyester mill as well as to provide 20 percent bonus to tea garden labor with Rs 351 as daily wage. AITUC: Assam State Committee general secretary, Ramen said, “AITUC is observing Sankalp Diwas in every part of the country. We will never let the government to privatize our public sector industries. The Modi Government is trying to privatize BPCL and it has already taken a cabinet decision. The Government has already destroyed the BSNL.
