Guwahati Municipal Corporation GMC Employees Demand to Regularize Posts

STAFF REPORTERGUWAHATI: The Guwahati Municipal Karmi Sangha has been protesting outside Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) for the past two days, demanding regularization of their posts. Employees of the corporation insisted that as per the 2014 guidelines under which 939 employees were appointed, their posts be made permanent. Also, the Sangha demanded the correction of errors in the stuffing pattern along with filling up of vacant posts by senior and experienced people only. The demonstration started on Friday and concluded on Saturday outside the GMC office here in the city. They also demanded that stalled payments of retired persons are cleared immediately. Also, the Sangha demanded the correction of errors in the stuffing pattern along with filling up of vacant posts by senior and experienced people only. The demonstration started on Friday and concluded on Saturday outside the GMC office here in the city.
