Unsung Heroes of Assam conferred Karmaveer Chakra Awards

GUWAHATI: Jurismita Puzari and Uday Shankar Borah from Assam has given recognition of Rex Karmaveer Global Fellow and has been honored with the National Karmaveer Chakra (Gold) Award (Gold medalist) to Puzari and National Karmaveer Bronze Award to Borah for their commendable work for the society. Both of them were the proud fellows of Gandhi Fellowship Programme, Batch 8 and Zila Swachh Bharat Preraks. Currently, both of them are the District leaders of Piramal Foundation working in Education Leadership and Water Respectively. They received the Karmaveer Chakra award on the November 27, 2019 in New Delhi at the exclusive awards function which is a part of iCONGO's (Internation Confederation of NGOs) REX Conclave in collaboration with United Nation, a press release stated. Jurismita Puzari have been recognized first time by REX and UN in the year 2014-15 for her best contribution towards education and social empowerment and thereby honored with both Bronze and Silver Awards respectively.
