NDRF organizes awareness programme on coronavirus at LGBI Airport in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: A medical team of NDRF (National Disaster Response Force) organized an awareness programme on coronavirus at the LGBI Airport in Guwahati on Monday. The subjects which were covered during the programme were symptoms and complications, prevention, the transmission of coronavirus and donning and doffing of a suit. The medical team comprised of Dr. K B Singh, Chief Medical Officer (SG), 1st Battalion NDRF, along with Dr Gouse-Ea- Azam T Senior Medical Officer, paramedic staff and NDRF rescuers. Director of Airport Authority Guwahati, airport medical officers, airport fire service, airport staff, and CISF personnel also attended the programme. Dr K B Singh stated, “In case of infection of coronavirus, stay home when you are sick and avoid close contact with people who are sick. One should avoid touching the eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands. The victim should cover the cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash”. Director of Airport Authority Guwahati, airport medical officers, airport fire service, airport staff, and CISF personnel also attended the programme.
