302 colleges get grants under SOPD State Owned Priority Development

STAFF REPORTERGUWAHATI: The Government of Assam in the Higher Education Department earmarked an amount of Rs. 3 crore and 5 lakh in SOPD (State-Owned Priority Development) Budget 2019-20 for providing facilities of Girls' Common Room in government and provincialized colleges of the state. The amount is being distributed among 302 colleges and the principals of the respected colleges will have to submit utilization certificate of the grant within March 31 to the director of Higher Education, Assam.
