Guwahati Metropolitan Development Authority opens temporary parking at Old Jail premises

STAFF REPORTERGUWAHATI: GMDA (Guwahati Metropolitan Development Authority) has opened a temporary parking facility at the Old Jail premises in the Fancy Bazar area. The entry and exit to the parking lot will be from SRCB Road. 5 for every subsequent hour. The new parking lot will bring respite to the people commuting through Fancy Bazar as it is one of the busiest areas of the city. STAFF REPORTER GUWAHATI: GMDA (Guwahati Metropolitan Development Authority) has opened a temporary parking facility at the Old Jail premises in the Fancy Bazar area. The parking will be available for both two-wheeler and four-wheeler vehicles from 7 am to 9 pm. No night time parking facility will be available and also commercial vehicles will not be allowed to park. The entry and exit to the parking lot will be from SRCB Road. The parking will be operated on GMDA charges. Four-wheelers will be charged Rs. 10/- for the first two hours for and Rs 10/- for every subsequent hour. Two-wheelers will be charged Rs. 5 for the first two hours and Rs. 5 for every subsequent hour. The new parking lot will bring respite to the people commuting through Fancy Bazar as it is one of the busiest areas of the city.
