Staff ReporterGUWAHATI: A team of the Asom Sangrami Mahila Mancha (ASMM) met State DGP Bhaskarjyoti Mahanta at the Assam Police Headquarters here on Thursday regarding the security of women in Guwahati. Talking to The Sentinel, ASMM president Dimpi Deka said, “Crimes against women have been on the rise in Assam, including Guwahati. We met the DGP so as to ensure women's security in the State. We've handed over a 12-point memorandum to him.”The demands of the ASMM are installation of CCTV cameras in all paths and by-lanes in Guwahati, deployment of women police inside city buses, making an arrangement with the local people to check crimes, making Guwahati a drug-free city, setting up of a separate complaint box in each of the police station for crimes against women, etc. Also Watch: Biofloc fish farming introduced in Bongaigaon's Bijni, Watch here
