No member visited New Delhi High Level Committee HLC

Staff ReporterGUWAHATI: The Report of the High-Level Committee (HLC) on Clause 6 of the Assam Accord is safe with the Assam Accord Implementation Department. While the department is confused over the handing over of the report, another source claimed that Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal is going to receive the report on behalf of the MHA (Ministry of Home Affair). However, till filing of this report, there has been no official confirmation on the Chief Minister receiving the Report. Meanwhile, in a press release issued on February 20, 2020 by Bhaskar Jyoti Sharma, personal secretary to the Chairman of the High Level Committee on Clause 6 of Assam Accord Justice (retired) B.K. “It is further clarified that no team or member including the Chairman of the HLC had ever visited New Delhi after 10th February, 2020 for the purpose of apprising or handing over the report to the MHA.”Also Watch: AJYCP members form human chain across Assam to protest against CAA 2019

Sharma, said, “…After completing the task entrusted to the Committee with the final report signed in 10th February, 2020, naturally all the copies thereof are under sealed cover in the custody of the Implementation of Assam Accord Department, Joint Secretary of which was liaising in the affairs of the Committee with all concerned. “It is further clarified that no team or member including the Chairman of the HLC had ever visited New Delhi after 10th February, 2020 for the purpose of apprising or handing over the report to the MHA.” Also Watch: AJYCP members form human chain across Assam to protest against CAA 2019
