CM Sarbananda Sonowal performs Bhumi Pujan commencing works of six lane bridge over Brahmaputra

GUWAHATI: Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal performed bhumi pujan to mark the auspicious inauguration of the construction of the six-lane extra dosed bridge over the Brahmaputra connecting Guwahati and North Guwahati at Bharalumukh here on Sunday.
The extra dosed bridge will be the first of its kind in the Northeast with a project cost of Rs.
It will be implemented by Assam Public Works Department with consultancy services from Systra Engenharia Consultoria Ltd, Brazil, contractor services from M/s S.P.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Sonowal termed the day as a momentous occasion for the state, as the proposed bridge will revolutionize the connectivity across the Brahmaputra.
Guwahati Development Minister Siddhartha Bhattacharya, MP Guwahati Queen Oja also spoke on the occasion.
