All passenger train services cancelled till March 31 in Guwahati

* Movement of goods trains to continue for ensuring essential supplies* Full refund for all canceled trains will be taken till June 21, 2020GUWAHATI: In continuation of the measures taken in the wake of COVID-19, the Indian Railways on Sunday canceled all passenger train services till March 31, 2020. The services include among others the premium trains, mail or express trains, passenger trains, suburban trains, Kolkata Metro Rail and the Konkan Railway. Accordingly, all passenger-carrying trains coming towards NF Railway and originating from NF Railway will also remain canceled, stated a release. To make it more convenient for passengers, a full refund for all canceled trains will be taken till June 21, 2020. Adequate arrangements will be made to facilitate a hassle-free refund to passengers affected by train cancellations, the NFR release added.

Trains that had already commenced their journey, prior to 04-00 hrs of March 22, 2020, will run-up to their destinations. Adequate arrangements will be made for the passengers, who have commenced their journey during the travel and at their destinations. To ensure the essential supplies in various parts of the country, the movement of goods trains will continue. To make it more convenient for passengers, a full refund for all canceled trains will be taken till June 21, 2020. Adequate arrangements will be made to facilitate a hassle-free refund to passengers affected by train cancellations, the NFR release added.
