COVID 19 outbreak Business units down shutters before lockdown in Guwahati

Staff ReporterGUWAHATI: Most of the business establishments remained closed during the daytime on Tuesday, ahead of the lockdown. The State government enforced lockdown from 6 pm on Tuesday in view of the COVID-19 outbreak. The markets witnessed a huge rush as people thronged to stockpile the essential goods. However, the business establishments in most of the busy areas like ABC, Ganeshguri and Guwahati Club remained closed. The State government enforced lockdown from 6 pm on Tuesday in view of the COVID-19 outbreak. The markets witnessed a huge rush as people thronged to stockpile the essential goods. However, the business establishments in most of the busy areas like ABC, Ganeshguri and Guwahati Club remained closed. The Guwahati Railway Station too was completely empty besides some of the cleanliness workers and medical volunteers.
